THE AUDUBON SOCIETY OF CENTRAL OKLAHOMA
We Support Conservation!

The Audubon Society of Central Oklahoma has proposed a project to the US Corps of Engineers, US Fish and Wildlife
and The City of Edmond.
The project would be at Lake Arcadia located east of Edmond, Oklahoma.

The proposed project involves building a Bald Eagle Viewing deck and an Educational Kiosk on the shoreline of the lake.
The purpose of the kiosk would be to educate the public about the history of the Bald Eagle
and encourage the appreciation of the fact that Lake Arcadia is host to Bald Eagles during their migration every year.
Not all lakes in Oklahoma can claim that fact.

Below is a bird viewing deck located at The Great Salt Plains National Wildlife Refuge.
The deck design we would like to use at Lake Arcadia would be a replica of this viewing deck and is ADA approved and accessible.
