How We Go About Watering

Per the requirements of The City of Oklahoma City, we cannot use the lake water to water the trees.  So, to get water on the young trees and shrubs, we purchased a 325 gallon tank and a pump.  Dale Birchett on the right plumbed  some hard line pipe from the pump to 4 hose attachments.  We fill up the tank using a portable water meter and 3" hose attached to a fire hydrant, then we drive the full tank to the project site. (We must pay for the water we use.)  For 24 trees, it takes at least 2 trips with the full tank.  To fill up the doubled-up Tree Gators around the trees it takes approx. 1+ hours.
